Fordite Spectrum Kiritsuke

Introducing the Fordite Spectrum Kiritsuke.

Constantly experimenting, prioritizing sustainability, and pushing the boundaries of his creativity, John decided to craft a handle using the leftover precious scraps of Fordite. This unique material, formed from thin layers of automotive paint, accumulates in clusters from overspray buildups on the walls and floors of factories. These particular Fordite scraps were salvaged from a retired factory in Indiana.

The gorgeous blade is finely honed for effortless slicing, making it feel like an extension of your hand. Crafted from AUS10 stainless steel and heat-treated to a hardness of 61 HRC, this knife delivers exceptional durability and outstanding edge retention. Designed for efficiency, it’s an ideal choice for both professional chefs and home cooks seeking to enhance their culinary skills.
One-of-a-kind piece. This masterpiece from John Phillips' Founder's Series is an unparalleled creation—absolutely unique and impossible to replicate. As a rare and exclusive piece of functional art, it’s a must-have for any discerning collector looking to own something truly extraordinary.
