We just had to make our Meridian Petty knife with an aged bronze bolster and curly narra wood handle to go with the chef! This is a beautiful wood from east Asia that is known for its amazing figure. We expertly mill, stabilize and finish each piece entirely in our Knoxville, Tennessee studio. When the handle is set with the deep brown aged bronze the wood and metal are both able to sing. This is a combination that will stand the test of time.
Our unique Primeaux pinch grip bolster offers great grip and balance, ensuring that you are able to comfortably and safely hold your blade throughout any task in the kitchen. plus we round the spine and "choil" of the knife so you have the most comfortable food prep experience.
This knife is an excellent day to day piece with little to worry about, given the excellent stone washed AEBL stainless steel that we heat treat meticulously one at a time. Petty knives are an ideal choice for jobs in the kitchen where you need a little more than a paring knife, but not quite a chef.
